Far too many times, I will locate some exploit in a website, and email the admins about it. _nothing happens_ no response, no fix, nothing. About 30 days later, I release the exploit to the public, they get hacked, and within days, the problem is fixed. Like you said, everything in the business security world is a <i>reaction</i> to something. They are dolts. True, true.
